What civilization has developed the most science?

Greece, Rome, Europe as a whole, Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, China, Muslim Middle East. I am not asking which civilization is the oldest. I am not asking which has been civilized the longest. I am asking who you feel has contributed the most science to the world.

1. I say China. Not because it is the biggest, not because it is the oldest; but because it has moved the furthest forward in it's long history. Muslim is a religion - not a country.
2. It would have to be Europe, they are the ones that developed the "modern" scientific method. "it is the ancient Greeks who engaged in the earliest forms of what we recognize as science." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_scientific_method They also used that method to discover most of what we now know.
